It’s ‘flights, camera, action’ as our Visitor Experience nears completion

It’s all go this month as we work to put the ‘Experience’ into the Flying Doctor development at Dubbo. It is largely built and construction is on track for completion in spring 2019. So now we’re busy creating content for the interactive elements of our Visitor Experience.

We’ve been capturing the inspiring human stories behind the Flying Doctor, seen through the eyes of our people and those outback communities that they serve.

Film crews have filmed and interviewed our pilots, engineers, doctors and nurses, capturing their perspective and exploring their most memorable experiences. The cameras were rolling as our people revealed the greatest challenges they’ve faced as they bring life-saving treatment and primary health care across Australia’s outback.

Recently, our film crews were ‘out bush’ - talking with real life patients and communities. These colourful characters form the backbone of outback Australia. They’ve been sharing their own life-saving experiences with the Flying Doctor.

Together these stories will take our visitors on a journey into the real-life struggles of the isolated outback life - and the life-changing difference that the Flying Doctor continues to make, on a daily basis.
