Visitor Centre and Outback Trek Cafe will be closed for 3 days in March 2023
Due to hosting the Rotary Club of Dubbo South Inc- Black Tie Ball the centre will be closed:
- Friday 24th March
- Saturday 25th
- Sunday 26th
We will reopen on Monday 27th March as per normal trading hours – we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Our regular Visitor Experience opening hours are:
Monday to Friday: 9am - 5pm
Saturday: 9am - 4pm
Sunday: 9am - 3pm
Public holidays: 9am - 3pm
Closed: Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day, Anzac Day and Good Friday.
Bad weather? No problem. Our experience is indoors so you can have a great time - rain, hail or shine.
Outback Trek Cafe opening hours
*The cafe opening hours are slightly different from the Visitor Experience opening hours*.
The regular cafe opening hours are:

Saturday and Sunday: 8am - 2pm

Getting to Dubbo
However you’re travelling, it’s a simple journey
Dubbo is the gateway to rural New South Wales. It’s fairly easy to get here, wherever you’re coming from. You’ll find help to plan your trip and all sorts of resources at Visit Dubbo.
The flight from Sydney to Dubbo takes about an hour. The airport here is one of Australia’s main regional airports. You can choose from four major airlines providing about 200 flights a week to and from Dubbo.
Once you get here, the airport’s is nearby the ‘A day in a life’ Visitor Experience. You will require a quick taxi drive to get here.
